Do I need to own a Horizon?
No. We provide units for the Try SCR and for training. If you want one afterward, we sell them here.
What certification do I need to start?
Open Water Diver and 16 years old for the Try SCR. Nitrox, Deep Diving, 24 logged dives, and 18 years old for the full course.
How long are the dives?
On open circuit, a typical Bonaire dive is 40 to 50 minutes. On the Horizon, 90 to 120 at the same depth, no decompression.
Is the Horizon safe?
Triple redundant electronics, automatic failsafe, built-in bailout valve. If anything fails, the unit flushes with fresh gas and you switch to open circuit. Mares built this on rEvo technology.
