In 2023, Stephan and Linda packed up their life in the Netherlands, grabbed their daughter Mara, and moved to Bonaire. No corporate exit strategy. No five-year plan on a whiteboard. Just a decision that had been building for years.
Work was offices, salaries, and the best hours of the day on someone else's goals. Then Mara came along, and the question changed from "what do we want to do?" to "what kind of life do we want her to grow up in?"
The answer was Bonaire. An island where she could grow up outdoors, speaking three languages, with sand between her toes and salt water in her hair. Where her parents actually love what they do, every single day.
Wanderlust exists because of that choice.

An SSI dive school on Bonaire. We teach beginners their first breaths underwater. We train experienced divers toward their Divemaster. We rent gear, fill tanks, run guided dives, offer Mares Horizon SCR courses, and sell equipment from our shop. If you want to learn to dive, get better at diving, or just show up and go diving, this is your place.

This is the highest level of dive education you can get on this island, and we are the only ones who offer it. Both businesses run from the same location, with the same team, under the same standards.

We are a dive school run by people who chose this life on purpose. Stephan still teaches every course himself. Linda is at the shop every morning. When you come back next year, we will still be here.
