Sea Turtle Ecology covers life cycles, nesting behavior, feeding habits, and the conservation threats these animals face. You learn the specific behavioral signals that indicate a turtle is comfortable or stressed by diver presence, and interaction guidelines that protect turtles while allowing good observations. Theory and workshop-based. Every turtle encounter after this course becomes more informed and less inadvertently disruptive.
Most people who get certified at home spend their first real dive trip adjusting. Different visibility, colder water, unfamiliar conditions. On Bonaire, your training dives happen on the same reef you'll dive independently afterward. You get certified and comfortable in one trip. Nothing to re-learn the next time you come back.
